If a friend asks you to go to a party together on Valentine's Day and calls it a date does that mean it's a date-date.

I just agreed to hang out with a friend. [ SETTING THIS RECORD STRAIGHT. It's only now that she's starting to wonder about the true nature of said agreement. ]

But yes, it is something I like spending time with. Otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to go to a party with them in the first place. I hate those. But they said they'd be awkward there by themselves, and I don't want them to have to be.

That still sounds like a lot of fun. I know you don't like parties, so you must really like this person if you agreed to go.

I don't think it's a date unless you both think it is though, right? That's how Makoto-chan and I started dating.

And pretty obviously so. But it's not like it'd be the first time Ange tried to pull off such a dumb, bold lie in order to try and save face. ]

I'm just trying to be mindful of her feelings, that's all! If I'd hurt her, a lot of people would get really mad at her. [ Including Ange getting mad at herself. ]
